Your New Role

My client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced People Business Partner for a temporary role lasting 3-4 months. (Long-term opportunities also available should it be a successful match). This position is within a longstanding public sector organisation, offering a dynamic, warm and supportive environment. You will manage a busy complex ER caseload and partner with managers at all levels to deliver a high-quality HR service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high-quality people partnering service within an allocated directorate(s).
  • Manage a complex ER caseload within statutory deadlines and internal service level agreements.
  • Offer advice and guidance on a wide range of people matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance improvement.
  • Build trust and strong working relationships with managers through regular engagement.
  • Coach and mentor managers to support their development in managing people-related matters.
  • Deliver project work and contribute to wider people priorities, including regulatory reform, People Plan, EDI, and Wellbeing Plans. (Should the role become longer term).


What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Strong background in partnering with managers to support HR service delivery.
  • Experience providing advice and guidance on a wide range of people matters in line with legislation and best practices.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of HR employment legislation.
  • The ability to draft clear, concise, and accurate documents related to complex matters.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive information.
