Training & Development Coordinator

Macmillan Davies Hodes · Stoke on Trent · Hybrid · Full time

Role overview

About this role

Macmillan Davies is delighted to be working exclusively again with a
national construction company to recruit a newly created Training &
Development Coordinator role, joining the business at a really exciting
time of growth and development.

With a new CEO, a developing HR team and new HR leadership in place, there
is plenty happening across the organisation. This is a fantastic
opportunity for someone who wants to join a business where they can bring
ideas, improve processes and genuinely help shape how Learning &
Development is delivered.

*The role*

Reporting to the Training & Development Partner, you'll provide hands-on
coordination and support across the full Training & Development agenda,
with an immediate focus on embedding the newly introduced Learning
Management System.

With the new LMS being launched around four weeks ago, you'll play an
important role in supporting its continued implementation and helping
managers and employees get the most from the system.

Previous experience supporting or managing an LMS implementation or rollout
would therefore be particularly valuable. You don't need experience of
large enterprise platforms such as Workday or Oracle, we're looking for
someone comfortable working with a straightforward LMS who understands how
systems, processes and great coordination can make learning more effective.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Supporting the ongoing implementation and embedding of the LMS
-Coordinating internal and external training activity across the business
-Liaising with external training providers and managing course
arrangements
-Supporting the creation, coordination and maintenance of training content
-Managing training records, certifications and associated administration
-Proactively following up with managers to ensure required training is
completed
-Responding to manager and employee queries around the LMS and Training &
Development
-Supporting the administration and coordination of apprenticeships
-Taking ownership of the employee onboarding process
-Supporting wider Training & Development projects and initiatives

*Who are we looking for?*

We're looking for somebody bright, proactive and organised who enjoys
taking ownership

*You'll ideally bring:*

-Previous experience within Learning & Development, Training Coordination
or a similar role
-Experience supporting, implementing or administering an LMS
-Strong organisation and coordination skills, with the ability to keep
multiple activities moving
-Confidence liaising with managers, employees and external training
providers
-Good attention to detail, particularly around training records and
certifications
-A proactive approach to following up actions and ensuring things get
completed
-Strong systems capability and the confidence to learn new technology

The Training & Development function is evolving, so there will be plenty of
opportunity to bring ideas, improve how things are done and see the role
develop over time.

If you're an L&D or Training professional who enjoys systems, coordination
and making things better we'd love to hear from you.

Professional. Proven. Personable.
Whether you’re an established HR Manager or just beginning your career as an HR Administrator, you’ll find our focus is on long-term candidate relationships, not short-term fixes.  Our history
To say we’ve a wealth of experience in HR recruitment is an understatement. Macmillan Davies has been a dedicated HR recruitment consultancy since 1979. At Macmillan Davies we take our responsibilities seriously, as we’re guardians of both our clients’ brands and our candidates’ careers. But we also make sure this professionalism is balanced with a personal approach. How we deliver is just as important to us as what we provide – and the reason so many of our clients and candidates return for our advice again and again.

Supporting your HR career every step of the way
We’re a long-term career partner to many of our candidates, supporting them as they progress from HR Assistant jobs to HR Director levels. All of which is made possible by our specialist practices.
